The Gladish Community and Cultural Center
was made possible by a non-profit group of citizens, Friends of Gladish. This group of dedicated
volunteers with community support purchased the building in 1997 to save it from possible demolition or private
development. Today the building
serves hundreds of people a day and exemplifies a commitment to fill unmet and growing needs of
the community.
