FUNDRAISING & DONORS/CONTRIBUTORS
Initial fundraising was focused on gathering donations and loans to cover the purchase price of the Gladish School property and finance an operating budget. Donations and loans came from members of the community and others interested in dedicating Gladish School to use as a community center by non-profit organizations and civic organizations, and child care, education, cultural, and commercial interests. The efforts of many volunteer supporters, professional work performed "pro bono," and volunteer "in kind" donations resulted in the successful purchase of Gladish School on February 5, 1997.

Two standing committees garner the resources needed for continued support of the Gladish Community and Cultural Center. The Fundraising/Membership Development committee is charged with organizing fundraising events; soliciting "in kind" contributions of labor, expertise, and materials for needed repairs, refurbishing, and improvements; and expanding and retaining membership. The Grants Commmittee will develop grant proposals for submission to organizations that sponsor charitable projects.

The goals of the Friends of Gladish board continue to focus on restoring the building as an historic site to serve the needs of the community. Those who have contributed can be proud of what has been accomplished and what is planned for the future.
